PEORIA, Ill. – A man was arrested in Peoria’s West Bluff Thursday evening after a shot was fired at a house.
Peoria Police say officers responded to the area of Ellis and Elizabeth Streets just before 6:45 P.M. on reports of a male with a gun, who allegedly fired the gun towards a house.
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, later identified as Terone Chalmers, 41, of Peoria. But Chalmers reportedly fled on foot and a brief chase ensued before he was taken into custody.
A handgun was reportedly found in the chase path, and a magazine located on Chalmers.
Chalmers was arrested on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, No FOID, Resisting Police, Criminal Damage to Property, and two Active Warrants.
Chalmers was booked in the Peoria County Jail.
No one was injured in the shooting.
