NORMAL, Ill. – Central Illinois is well-represented at the Illinois High School Association girls basketball state finals this weekend.
The finals for all four classes are taking place through Saturday at CEFCU Arena in Normal.
Illini Bluffs of Glasford needed overtime to move on to the Class 1A championship game, after beating Altamont, 60-48. They will take on defending 1A champion Okawville, who beat St. Bede of Peru in the other semifinal, 44-30. The 1A championship game will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday.
Peoria Notre Dame easily claimed a spot in the Class 2A championship game, after beating Regina Dominican of Wilmette, 71-25. They will face off against Nashville, who defeated Robinson, 52-36. The 2A championship game will start at around 1:00 P.M.
Lincoln looks to continue their undefeated season in the Class 3A semifinals against Lombard Montini on Friday, with tip-off at around 11:15 A.M. The other semifinal in 3A features Chatham Glenwood and Hinsdale South.
