PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man was arrested on weapons and drug charges after a traffic stop early Friday morning.
Peoria Police say the stop occurred just after 12:20 A.M. in the area of University and Nebraska.
Officers reportedly found a loaded handgun and cannabis during a search of the vehicle.
The driver, Antonio Walker, 38, was then arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, No FOID, and various traffic-related charges.
Walker was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
