WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – The victim in Wednesday morning’s fatal two-vehicle crash on Interstate 74 near Carlock has been identified.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes near mile marker 117, about three miles from the Carlock exit, just after 8:00 A.M. The westbound lanes were shut down for several hours following the crash.
Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman says Victoria Nguyen, 44, was driving westbound in a 2012 Toyota Camry. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The other vehicle was a 2017 Dodge Journey heading eastbound, driven by Breanna Williams, 21, of Moberly, Missouri.
Officials have not released details yet on how the crash occurred.
Ruestman says an autopsy and forensic toxicology testing on Nguyen will take place on Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police and the Woodford County Coroner’s Office.

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – Illinois State Police says at least one person is dead after a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning on I-74 in Woodford County.
The crash happened about two miles west of Carlock on I-74 Westbound around 8:10 a.m.
ISP says I-74 Westbound traffic is being diverted at exit 120 to Route 150.
