PEORIA, Ill. – There are now a total of five people arrested in connection with an armed robbery turned deadly involving a fake car posted to Facebook Marketplace.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney says 19-year-old Jonathan Williams and 18-year-old Tanarius Kingcade are being charged with Armed Robbery.
Both are jailed, and a judge, under the state’s SAFT-T and Pretrial Fairness Act, ordered both held in jail until trial.
The robbery happened January 15th when 18-year-old Marcus Whitehead of Bloomington and another man came to town to look at the car.
When they were directed to an alley, a fight happened and gun shots were fired.
Whitehead died, and the other man was not charged because he was found to be legally carrying a gun.
Three others have previously been charged: 27-year-old Sontarrius Williams, 18-year-old Keshawn Williams, and 18-year-old Jaylyn Branscumb.
