WASHINGTON, D.C. – Newly unsealed records show more classified documents were found in Donald Trump’s bedroom at his Mar-A-Lago resort four months after the 2022 FBI search.
Court records filed on Tuesday also so the Department of Justice signed off on “the use of deadly force” if necessary, when FBI agents raided the former president’s Florida home in August 2022.
Fox News was told this is the standard procedure in all cases to protect officers and the public in case of any danger, even though this particular case does involve a former president with Secret Service detail.
Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social saying, “NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY.”
The FBI in a statement says, “No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter.” According to the filing, the DOJ and FBI agents “planned to bring Standard Issue Weapons,’ ‘Ammo,’ ‘Handcuffs,’ and ‘medium and large sized bolt cutters,’ but they were instructed otherwise to wear ‘unmarked polo or collared shirts’ and to keep ‘law enforcement equipment concealed.”
