PEORIA, Ill. – Firefighters were called to a home in the area of Hayward and Jefferson Streets in Peoria Wednesday morning.
Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Haskall says crews arrived around 7:30 a.m., finding smoke and fire coming from a side window of the home.
The fire was under control in about 30 minutes. An investigator determined the cause of the fire was accidental.
Haskall says no one was in the home when the fire broke out, and no injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $80,000.
