BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Bloomington is in a New York state of mind.
The city’s new ECHL team, the Bison, announced Thursday their NHL affiliation will be with the New York Rangers. The Bison will also be affiliated with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League.
The Bison will begin play in the 2024-25 season.
The Rangers were previously affiliated with the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL.
The Bison also announced Philip Barski as the team’s first head coach.
