PEORIA, Ill. – There is a threat of severe storms for the Peoria area Thursday evening.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says a line of severe thunderstorms will approach the Illinois River around 6 p.m.
“The primary threats are damaging straight line winds of 75 miles per hour or higher, and large hail up to the size of golf balls. The tornado threat is low, but not zero and heavy rain is also possible,” Collins says.
