EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The East Peoria Police Department is investigating what it believes to be the theft of mail.
Police received a complaint around 5:24 a.m. Saturday of mail scattered throughout an area of Crestlawn Drive in Sunnyland.
Officers determined during an investigation that a suspect or suspects had gone through various mailboxes in Sunnyland overnight.
The investigation is ongoing.
