PEORIA, Ill. – A downtown Peoria bar is closing for good for a second time.
Richard’s Under Main announced Tuesday in a Facebook post that Saturday will be the last day of business for the establishment.
The underground bar and restaurant reopened in April of last year after being closed for five years.
Richard’s says it was not able to overcome the hole it was put in through coolers breaking, flooding, and the loss of business. It also says the restaurant’s liquor license expires on Sunday.
For the rest of the week, it’s offering discounted drinks and food, but will not be open for lunch and is only taking cash.
