PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man was arrested Tuesday after a more than two month investigation into an alleged criminal sexual abuse against a minor.
Peoria Police say 27-year-old Danny Devine Junior was taken into custody by the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force at around 2:15 P.M. at a house in the area of Armstrong and Bestor.
He is accused of sexually assaulting and battering a 15-year-old girl on April 12th.
Detectives learned through their investigation of several other active investigations against Devine in other jurisdictions.
Devine was arrested for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, Domestic Battery, Kidnapping, Aggravated Unlawful Restraint, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Tattooing the Body of a Minor, and Contributing to the Delinquencies of a Minor. Devine was also arrested on warrants in Peoria and Tazewell Counties.
He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
