PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police arrested a wanted teenager last week on weapons charges.
Officers observed the teen leave a South Peoria house in the area of Lincoln and Olive just before 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, and get in the passenger side of a vehicle that drove away.
The vehicle then came to a stop at the intersection of Northmoor and University, where the juvenile was detained and the driver was released.
Officers allegedly found a Glock 17 with a switch and extended magazine in the vehicle during a search.
The teenager was arrested on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Machine Gun, No FOID, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and an Active Warrant.
The teenager was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
