PEORIA, Ill. – Felony charges have been filed against two people after their pit bulls allegedly injured a couple near Bradley University.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says an arrest warrant has been issued for 45-year-old Robert Cady and 23-year-old Gabrelle Jones.
Prosecutors say the incident occurred June 27th on Moss Avenue, when multiple pit bulls owned by Cady and Jones were reportedly running loose and attacked the couple who were walking their dog.
The state’s attorney’s office says Cady and Jones were previously ordered by Peoria County Animal Protection Services to keep the dogs confined after being involved in other biting incidents, and were deemed dangerous animals.
They are charged with Failure to Comply, Resulting in Serious Physical Injury, as a result of violating the order.
