CANTON, Ill. – Canton police say an investigation is underway into what is being described as a suspicious death.
Police say officers and other emergency responders were dispatched to a residence on First Avenue in Canton around 12:30 p.m. Saturday in response to a medical emergency.
Upon arrival, officers found what is described as a deceased individual inside the residence.
The Canton Police Department, Illinois State Police Criminal Investigations, Illinois State Police Crime Scene and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.
More information will be released jointly by the Canton Police Department and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office as the investigation progresses.
