EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A 16-year-old girl from Washington has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle fatal crash early Monday morning.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says Avery Grazier was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Springfield Road, south of Muller, just after 3:15 A.M.
He says an autopsy shows Grazier died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. She was the passenger in the pick-up truck involved in the crash.
Police say the 16-year-old driver was treated for minor injuries, and arrested on charges of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Aggravated Reckless Driving.
The crash remains under investigation.
