PEORIA, Ill. – OSF HealthCare is announcing the retirement of Central Region CEO Bob Anderson early next year.
OSF says Anderson has been instrumental in designing and constructing several projects on the St. Francis Medical Center campus, including the system lab building, the OSF Center for Health nearby on Knoxville Avenue, the behavioral health ambulatory building, the Learning Academy, and most recently, the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute which opened earlier this year.
Anderson initially joined OSF in the 1980s as a student in the Clinical Laboratory Science program, which led him to pursue leadership roles within the department, including director from 1987-2005, according to a release from OSF HealthCare.
“It has been an honor and a joy for me to serve this organization and this community in various roles and capacities. I am proud of the achievements and accomplishments that we have made together. Thank you to all who have been part of my journey at OSF HealthCare,” Anderson said in announcing his retirement to OSF Mission Partners (employees).
OSF will begin the search for Anderson’s replacement immediately to allow time for transition before his retirement in January.
