KEWANEE, Ill. – A Peoria woman died after a two-vehicle crash in Kewanee on Friday.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the crash occurred at around 3:15 P.M., about four-and-a-half miles west of Kewanee on County Highway Five and North 500 Avenue.
One of the drivers, 37-year-old Cassie Boorn of Peoria, was LifeFlighted to O-S-F Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition.
Harwood says Boorn was pronounced dead at the hospital just before 8:00 P.M., despite aggressive resuscitative efforts.
He says Boorn suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries inconsistent with life.
The crash is under investigation by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
