WASHINGTON, Ill. – The city of Washington is parting ways with its administration.
The city council voted 5-2 at Monday night’s meeting to accept the separation of Jim Snider’s role with the city on February 3rd, 2025.
He will be placed on administrative leave on August 30th, 2024, and continue to receive his regular pay and compensation.
Snider has served in the role since November of 2021.
Mayor Gary Manier declined to comment on the reasoning for Snider’s departure, only saying that the pair “worked well together.”
He says a new city administration will not be picked any earlier than the seating of a new city council and potential new mayor in May of 2025.
