PEORIA, Ill. – A 15-year-old boy is charged with Attempted Murder and multiple weapons charges after allegedly shooting another teenager Tuesday night in South Peoria.
Peoria Police says a 16-year-old boy was found lying in an alley with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Wyoming and Ligonier just after 7:30 P.M.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators identified the 15-year-old as the suspect. He turned himself in to Peoria Police Wednesday.
In addition to the Attempted Murder charge, he is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, and Possession of a Handgun Under 21 Years Old.
The 15-year-old was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called around 7:30 p.m. to W. Wyoming Street.
The extent of the 16-year-old boy’s injuries were unknown, but he was alert and talking with officers before he was taken to a local hospital.
No suspect information has been released. The incident remains under investigation.
