PEORIA, Ill. – With an Excessive Heat Warning going into effect on Monday, and most likely Tuesday, the City of Peoria is reminding residents that City Hall, Peoria Fire Stations, and the Police Department Lobby are all available as cooling stations in the extreme heat.
Anyone taking shelter in any of the city’s fire stations will be asked to step out of the building during fire calls.
