DUNLAP, Ill. – Students at Dunlap Middle School will be staying home on Friday.
The district has announced an e-learning day for the middle school students, after the building’s air conditioning unit broke earlier this week.
The district’s Dr. Matt Andrews says it will take a couple days before the unit can be fixed.
“One of the parts that controls the fans to obviously pump cool air through the building malfunctioned, and the replacement part is not locally available,” Andrews said.
Andrews says the school anticipates receiving the part on Saturday, and expects the repairs to be done by the end of the weekend.
