PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria city councilman wants a second term at the horseshoe.
25 News reports Andre Allen has announced a re-election bid in District Four for next year.
Allen was elected in 2021, and says he wants to build off accomplishments in his first term in office.
He says some of those accomplishments include business development, advanced neighborhood projects through a mini-grant program, and improvements on Allen and Orange Prairie Roads.
“We need to improve the road conditions on Reservoir Boulevard, continue our comprehensive public safety efforts, advance residential sidewalk improvements, undertake stormwater utility projects to address drainage issues, support local shopping destinations, and foster small business development,” Allen said, regarding an agenda for a second term.
Allen is the only candidate announced for District Four so far.
