PEORIA, Ill. – A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Peoria Police Wednesday afternoon after reportedly being found with a loaded handgun.
Officers observed the teenager in the area of Lincoln and Martin Luther King Junior Drive at around 12:45 P.M.
They approached him and allegedly found the loaded weapon on him, then took him in for questioning.
The 13-year-old was arrested on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Under 21.
He was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
