TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. – A Bloomington man was the victim in a fatal one-vehicle crash in rural Tremont early Saturday morning.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says 41-year-old Jeffrey Flaugher, II was the only person in a vehicle that appeared to leave the roadway and crash in a farm field.
He says the crash occurred just after 3:45 A.M. in the area of Townline and Springfield Roads. Flaugher was pronounced dead at the scene just after 4:30 A.M. Tremont Fire and Rescue assisted at the crash scene.
Hanley says an autopsy conducted Monday shows Flaugher’s cause of death was from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Offices.
