PEORIA Ill. – A man has been arrested in Tennessee — in connection to a shooting in Peoria last week.
40-year-old, Derek Crawford, was arrested Tuesday in Lebanon, Tennessee — for allegedly shooting somebody in the 600 block of Peoria’s South Western Avenue, just after 2:15pm, last Friday.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Peoria Police received word Crawford had ties in Lebanon last week, before the Tennessee agency made the arrest Tuesday.
Crawford was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm — and will be extradited back to Peoria County once satisfying a drug possession warrant out of Tennessee.
