PEORIA, Ill. – The man wanted by Peoria Police for a robbery at a Walgreens last month has been taken into custody.
Peoria Police say 41-year-old Jeffrey Holbrook was found in Aledo, where he is being held in the Mercer County Jail on numerous other offenses in other jurisdictions.
He was interviewed by Peoria Police, and will remain in Mercer County, pending formal charges from the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The incident in question occurred on September 17th, where police say Holbrook allegedly demanded a prescription drug in a note to an employee, and had implied he had a weapon.
Holbrook reportedly took the prescription and ran out of the store before leaving in a Toyota Four-Runner.

The Peoria Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a robbery at a pharmacy last month.
PPD has released a photo of the possible suspect and his vehicle. The robbery of the Walgreens on W. War Memorial Drive, near the Northwoods Mall, happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.
Police say the man handed a note to a pharmacy employee demanding an undisclosed prescription drug. He reportedly yelled, got on the pharmacy counter, threatened to jump over the counter, and implied he had a weapon.
PPD says the suspect grabbed the prescription bottle and ran out of the store. It’s believed he ran into a nearby parking lot and drove off in a late model Toyota 4Runner.
The suspect is described as a white male, at least 6-feet tall with a thin build.
