PEORIA Ill. – Peoria Police are looking for suspects in regards to a shooting which occurred early Saturday morning.
Just after 5am — Peoria Police were monitoring a large crowd of people that were gathering in a parking lot in the 600 block of S Western when officers heard numerous shots fired.
A ShotSpotter alert was also received indicating 7 rounds fired in the 600 block of S Western.
Officers located an adult male victim with gunshot wounds down on the sidewalk near the intersection of Howett and Western.
Officers began life-saving measures until relieved by paramedics. The victim was transported to a local hospital and considered critical but stable at this time.
There is no suspect information.
The incident is under investigation.
