WASHINGTON Ill. – Washington has made some changes to it’s city’s water system.
One of the two broken primary water wells was fixed Wednesday, as city officials say they’ve made the switch from the backup wells — to the primary well, as water treatment for plant two, is set to begin.
There could be intermittent changes to the water’s look, taste and/or color as water from the primary well continues to blend and displace the existing water from the backup well.
City staffers will flush hydrants to expedite the process — and ask for patience, as it will take an extended amount of time.
