PEORIA Ill. – Two teenagers have been arrested after one was allegedly seen firing shots, from a vehicle, in Peoria Wednesday night.
Peoria Police said the driver of a vehicle, a 15-year-old boy, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and several traffic offenses.
Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.
Police said officers saw a male subject firing shots from inside a reported stolen vehicle around 8:30 p.m. — Wednesday in the area of Griswold and Krause.
The driver fled when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, crashing into a stop sign in the 1300 block of Westmoreland.
The two 15-year-olds and an 11-year-old girl fled on foot before being apprehended.
The two boys were taken to the juvenile detention center — while the girl was released into the custody of her mother.
The firearm was not found.
