PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say a 23-year-old male was treated for a gunshot wound after he was reportedly shot while walking.
Police say they were informed just after 1:00 P.M. that the victim was taken via private vehicle to a local hospital.
The victim told police he was shot in the leg while walking in the area of Richmond and Bigelow.
His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Police searched the area where the victim said he was shot, but it yielded negative results.
Police are looking for suspects.

PEORIA, Ill. – Multiple people were injured after two separate shooting incidents Monday morning in Peoria.
Officers responded after ten rounds were fired in the area of Griswold and Seibold, just after 10:45 A.M., reportedly finding a man who was shot in the leg.
He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say two other people were taken to a local hospital after being grazed by bullets.
Officers then responded just after 11:00 A.M. on Wiswall near Lincoln Avenue where 14 shots were reportedly fired.
Police say a victim was shot in the foot in the area, and was taken to a local hospital via private vehicle.
There’s no word yet on if the shootings are connected.
