Maybe I’m the problem.
Because Sony continues to miss with it’s “sort of Spider-Verse”, that lacks Spider-Man, and I just keep going to see them.
Despite being the best in the trilogy, Venom: The Last Dance is simply another example of what not to do in a comic book adaptation.
Writing the character in a completely different style & tone than what fans are asking for — seemingly making a movie about a Tom Hardy fever dream.
On a positive note – this movie wasn’t a complete bore to see in theaters (IMAX).
The humor is the best of the series and the story is the most complete of all three movies…which really isn’t saying much.
This isn’t something I’d recommend to general movie-watchers or CBM fans – outside of those (like I) who out of curiosity wanted to see if it would actually equate to something impactful (it doesn’t).
Not a great run for CBM’s recently – but at least this anti-hero crapshoot will make some money – sorry Joker: Folie à Deux.
