PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – Halloween happenings are underway at the Castle on Grandview Drive.
Thea Hartzler, Estate Manager at Soderstrom Family Castle in Peoria Heights, invites families to come experience the spectacular light and sound show now through Halloween night.
“Tonight (Tuesday) and Wednesday night, from 6-8 p.m., we have the music and lights show that’s produced by Ryan Wyss of Prospect Sound and Lighting. So, you can come up onto the grounds, you can dance and sing to the music, and enjoy the light show,” Hartzler says.
The Castle’s Trick or Treating event will be from 5-8 p.m. on Halloween Night.
“We’ll have the Peoria Players there doing some singing and some dancing…there’s some character interaction with the crowd. And, this year as an added bonus, we have Dairy Queen free Dilly Bar coupons added to our full-size Hershey Bar giveaway,” Hartzler says.
Hartzler says if you come for Trick or Treating, you should expect long lines and limited parking on Grandview Drive.
“Peoria Park District Police are the ones that handle the traffic for us…so they are present and helping people out there. There are No Parking signs posted on one side of Grandview Drive, but it does get pretty congested, so be patient and come early,” Hartzler says.
