PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police have released more details regarding multiple shots fired Saturday night on the South Side.
25 News reports two buildings were hit by gunfire just before 8:15 P.M. in the area of Krause and Griswold.
Police say 23 shots were fired in total after three ShotSpotter alerts in the area.
An investigation continues.

PEORIA Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating a shooting which occurred yesterday, in a South Peoria neighborhood.
Details are limited, but according to 25 News, a ShotSpotter Alert said 18-rounds of gunfire went off in the 2600 block of West Krause Avenue, near South Griswold Street.
Minutes later, another ShotSpotter Alert indicated another four rounds being fired.
Police did not provide any other details — the incident is under further investigation.
