ROANOKE Ill. – The Roanoke DMV will soon be turning into a “one-stop-shop”.
Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias’ office announced Wednesday, the facility will be getting upgrades to create a more logical flow for customers — offering reduced wait times and faster interactions.
This will be in large part due to DMV employees now being cross-trained in both vehicle services and driver services.
Before, customers had to stand in-line for each service — and would equate to longer interactions and wait times — but now they can get all of their business done, with a single employee.
The Roanoke DMV will be closed from November 11th through the 16th while renovations take place.
A pop-up facility will be available at the Thompson Community Center during that time — they’ll be open from 7:30am till 5:00pm.
