PEORIA, Ill. – Investigators say a Peoria apartment fire from Friday morning was reportedly intentionally set.
Peoria Fire crews arrived just after 7:15 A.M. in the area of Wardcliffe and Rockwood, discovering the fire in a third floor bedroom.
The fire was quickly put out. Several apartments were ventilated due to smoke.
Crews searched for people in the building, but everyone had escaped prior to their arrival.
Peoria Fire says there were no injuries, but an adult and a child were displaced and secured temporary housing.
Damage is estimated at $15,000.
