PEORIA, Ill. – The judge’s race in Peoria County’s 10th Judicial Circuit is still tight and too close to call after the latest update.
Democrat John Spears now holds a 55 vote lead over Republican Frank Ierulli with more than 76,000 votes cast after the latest batch of mail-in ballots were counted Thursday.
Spears was up by only seven votes after Election Night.
His lead grew to 13 after the first batch of mail-in ballots were counted last week. The lead grew to 53 after Tuesday’s update.
As of Thursday, Spears had 38,051 votes to Ierulli’s 37,996.
The final day mail-in ballots can be received and counted is Tuesday, November 19th.
The vote will be certified the next day on November 20th.
