PEORIA Ill. – A man was arrested in Peoria, over the weekend, for alleged acts of burglary and vehicle theft.
Saturday morning, just before 8:30am, Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of West War Memorial Drive, on a report of a vehicle and other items being stolen.
While in route — officers observed the stolen vehicle traveling at a high-rate of speed — heading westbound on War Memorial.
The vehicle was stopped on Galena — just north of East Gardner.
Officers then took the driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Timothy Spilman, into custody without further incident.
Spilman is being held at the Peoria county jail — for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, and Fleeing Police.
