PEORIA Ill. – The man arrested in connection to a shooting in Peoria on Monday — will stay in jail until his arraignment hearing.
According to Peoria County State’s Attorney, Jodi Hoos, the state filed a petition to detail 18-year-old Jaylan Russell Wednesday.
More details have been released about the situation — as according to Peoria Police — a surveillance video shows Russell was not alone in the shooting — there was another adult male seen, firing alongside Russell.
The other shooter has yet to be identified.
Russell is being held at the Peoria County Jail on multiple weapons and battery charges.
He’ll be back in court, on Monday.

PEORIA Ill. – A man has been arrested, in connection to a shooting in Peoria on Monday.
18-year-old Jaylan Russell was taken into custody Tuesday, just after 6:30pm, in the 1800 block of North Gale Avenue.
Peoria Police say Russell allegedly shot an adult male — on Monday — around 1:15pm — in the 2100 block of North Wisconsin Avenue.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Russell is being held at the Peoria County Jail on multiple weapons and battery charges.
