PEORIA Ill. – The teenager who shot and killed 17-year-old Dahvie Brown-Bey last summer — has been charged guilty of murder.
According to the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office, a Peoria County Jury found 15-year-old Bryon Jarvis guilty of First Degree Murder, Wednesday, for shooting and killing a Peoria teen in the East Bluff, on August 22nd of last year.
Peoria Police were dispatched to the 700 block of East Kansas, just before 8pm, on a four-round ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, police found Dahvie Brown-Bey lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
According to witnesses, Jarvis rode up to him on a scooter, removed a gun from his waistband, and fired four shots at Dahvie at close range – three of the shots into his head.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The case is set for sentencing on March 12, 2025.
