PEORIA, Ill. – Holiday travelers to Peoria International Airport looking for a parking spot may be out of luck.
Social media posts from the airport reports that all parking lots are full, and are asking passenger vehicles to park at its car wash facility off of Middle Road.
The airport says signs will be posted on where to go, and a shuttle bus will be available to take passengers to and from the car wash parking lot and terminal building.
PIA says the reason the lots are full is the number of passengers traveling through for the holiday season.
It says more than 43,000 passengers will be traveling through the airport from December 22 to January 6th, with more than 500 flights in that timeframe.
The airport says the busiest days will be January 4th and 6th.
