PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – The Princeville teenager who died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Peoria County has been identified.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 17-year-old Grace Abbott suffered multiple blunt-force trauma injuries and died instantly.
He says Abbott was pronounced dead just before 1:45 P.M.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred just before 1:00 P.M. at the intersection of Parks School and Elliott Roads.
Deputies say Abbott’s vehicle was traveling westbound on Parks School and left the roadway at the hillcrest near Elliott, and struck a tree.
Harwood says toxicology tests are pending.

PEORIA Ill. – A 17-year-old girl from Princeville was killed in a single car crash Saturday afternoon in rural Peoria County.
ACCORDING TO 25NEWS — The crash was reported shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Parks School and Elliott Roads between Princeville and Brimfield.
Sheriff Chris Watkins said a preliminary investigation shows the girl’s car was traveling westbound on Parks School Road, left the roadway at a hillcrest near Elliott Road, and crashed into a tree.
The sheriff said no one else was in the vehicle.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood will release the victim’s name after her family is notified.
