MORTON, Ill. – Morton Police are asking parents to talk to their children about approaching unknown vehicles after an incident last week.
Police say an unknown male was observed on December 26th in the area of South First and Norwood motioning to a juvenile male playing in his yard.
The male allegedly then opened his car door and told the child that he had candy inside the vehicle.
Police say the child turned around and went inside without addressing the male. The male then left after the child’s siblings came out.
Morton Police say officers checked the area and surveillance video, but were unable to identify the adult male, as well as his intentions.
No other incidents have been reported.
