PEORIA Ill. – One man has been charged for robbing an individual at gunpoint, that he met on Facebook Marketplace, in October of last year.
According to the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s office — the state’s petition to detain 24-year-old Tobias Taylor was granted Friday and he was charged with Aggravated Robbery.
Just after 6:00pm on October 26th last year — Peoria Police responded to the Knollridge Apartment Complex in North Peoria on a report of an armed robbery.
The victim told police, he and Taylor organized a meet-up for the sale of four-pairs of shoes, on Facebook Marketplace.
Once the two met — Taylor allegedly told the victim to hand over the pairs of shoes — or his friend would shoot him.
Taylor was accompanied by another individual, who was armed, but they have not yet been identified.
