Canton Police arrested a Canton High School student Monday afternoon after an investigation of a threat he allegedly made against the school.
18-year-old Noah Bates was charged with felony disorderly conduct and transferred to Fulton County Jail to await a court appearance.
School officials were made aware of the threat after the school day was over on Monday.
In a Facebook post, the school thanked Canton Police for their swift and thorough response to incident. Officials said, “The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all.”
Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no further threat.
