WEST PEORIA, Ill. – A West Peoria man was arrested after a burglary was reported at the construction site of the new West Peoria City Hall on Friday.
29-year-old Quentrell Walker faces charges of residential burglary for Friday’s incident and several others he’s admitted to committing.
According to a report from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, the construction site manager noticed some locks had been pried off a utility trailer. Several items were missing, including a tool bag, batteries, and a charging station. A nearby residence was also broken into.
The estimated loss is between $5,000 and $7,000.
An investigation tied Walker to the crime. He was taken into custody by Peoria County detectives.
Sheriff Chris Watkins says Walker was previously arrested on January 7 for breaking into several homes in the West Peoria area.
This is Walker’s 10th arrest since June of 2024, Watkins adds.
