PEORIA, Ill. – A fire at a Peoria East Bluff home late Tuesday night is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to the area of Maryland and Republic at around 11:30 P.M. on reports of a smell of smoke in the house.
Crews arrived to find smoke in the second floor of the single-family home and a fire in the attic, and put it out.
The home’s residents were already outside when crews arrived, and have been displaced until repairs can be made to the house.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
