EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The number of people taking courses at Illinois Central College continues to rise.
The college announced Monday an enrollment of 7,606 students for the spring 2025 semester.
That’s a 7.2% increase over spring of last year, with ICC saying it’s the fourth straight semester of growth.
The college says students signed up for 3,197 more credit hours, a 5.6% increase, than last year.
ICC credits a reevaluation of placement testing and new academic programs, such as in Electric Vehicles and IT, as some of the reasons for the increases. The college says it has also reduced the number of students in placement courses by around 66%.
