PEORIA Ill. – It seems the snow in Wednesday’s forecast is lightening up.

“We are thinking that we will be getting another inch to inch-and-a-half this afternoon, into the early evening. So we are looking at more of a 2-3 inch range locally, up to 4 inches if you are northwest of the river. It seems the heavier accumulations have shifted further northwest, as you go into Iowa and southeast Wisconsin. We had downgraded our winter storm warning for a Winter Advisory, for the entire Illinois River Valley area now,” Huttle said.
Huttle added, the snowfall should be finished by around 8:00pm Wednesday night.
“There could be another batch of snow showers coming in this afternoon/evening and then it looks like it will be by 8:00pm, it should be pushing off just east to the river, then the colder air will be coming in tonight into tomorrow as the northwest winds pick up,” Huttle said.
