PEORIA, Ill. – An emergency demolition was ordered for a Peoria single-story house after a fire early Tuesday morning.
Peoria Fire crews arrived at the house in the area of Gale and Hudson at around 1:30 A.M., finding heavy flames coming from it.
Crews were able to locate the three residents, who were able to escape safely from the home.
One occupant was taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and burns, while the other residents were treated and released.
Code enforcement responded to check the home’s safety, and the demolition was ordered.
An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is underway.
